The permanent mold process :
This
process is particularly well-suited to the production
of mid and long runs of parts, that require extensive
machining by the customers.
Our organization also allows us to
offer shorter runs, for example for replacement parts.
The use of permanent mold grey iron
allows very large productivity gains at our customers,
due to the fine lamellar graphite structure and its
ferritic matrix.
The cost of machining a grey iron part made from the
permanent mold process if lower by more than 15% compared
to the same part cast in sand, for example on a disamatic
equipment.
